Welcome to the Saturday 9:30 AM meeting of Overeaters Anonymous. My name is ___ I am a compulsive eater and your leader for this meeting.

Please unmute yourself now to say the Serenity Prayer:

Please mute yourself again. Thank you.
OA’s diversity policy: As we extend the heart and hand of the OA fellowship to those who still suffer, let us be mindful of OA's Unity with diversity policy, which respects our differences, yet unites us in the solution to our common problem. Whatever problem you may have with food, you are welcome at this meeting regardless of race, creed, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other trait.
If you want, ask someone to read the 12 steps, 12 Traditions. (You may want to screen share.)
The 7th Tradition. The Seventh Tradition states: “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.” While contributions cover each group's rent and other expenses, the Seventh Tradition is essential at every level of O.A. service. - The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference - The third step prayer
God, I offer myself to Thee—to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. - The Seventh Step Prayer
My Creator, I am now willing that you should have all of me, good and bad. I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows. Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do your bidding - or The Unity Prayer
I put my hand in yours, and together we can do what we could never do alone. No longer is there a sense of hopelessness, no longer must we each depend upon our own unsteady willpower. We are all together now, reaching out our hands for power and strength greater than ours, and as we join hands, we find love and understanding beyond our wildest dreams.
